Nikolai Matwejewitsch Tatarinow ( Russian: Николай Матвеевич Татаринов ; born December 14, 1927 in Leningrad , † May 29, 2017 in Saint Petersburg ) was a Soviet pentathlete .
Career
In his only participation in the Olympics, the 1960 Games in Rome , he finished sixth in the individual competition. In the team competition he won the silver medal with Igor Novikow and Hanno Selg .
With the Soviet team he was world champion three times in a row in 1957 , 1958 and 1959 . In 1957 he was also behind his teammates Igor Novikow and Alexander Tarasow third in the individual.
