The Nikolai Church Street is a street in Jüterbog . The city church of St. Nikolai is located on Nikolaikirchstrasse . Eight houses in the street are listed. A detailed list of the listed houses can be found in the list of architectural monuments in Jüterbog .

location

The street was called Enge Gasse in the Middle Ages. The street runs parallel to Grosse Strasse and Planeberg Street . Nikolaikirchstraße begins in the west at the market and leads in the east to the street Planeberg. The streets Große Kirchstraße and Kleine Kirchstraße lead to Planeberg, to Große Straße the street Rothe Meer leads.

There are small lots on the street. There are suspicions that it used to be a farm road, which, however, must have been converted into a road early on. There are medieval cellars under the houses Nikolaikirchstrasse 4 and 34/35. With one exception, the houses on Nikolaikirchstrasse have two floors, most of which date from the 18th century.

The street was called Mittelstrasse until October 28, 2009.
