The priest's grave at Nikolausstrasse 46 is located in the Hardt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The tomb was built in 1879/80. It was entered under No. N 012 on October 9, 1995 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
location
The grave site is in the old part of the cemetery in the immediate vicinity of the high cross set up in a small avenue of lime trees.
architecture
The memorial cross is a multi-segmented stele made of sandstone with a towering shaft cross in neo-Gothic style and decorative elements. The multi-tiered and profiled base of the stele is adorned with a banner (without lettering). In the columnar central section, a Gothic arcade covers a marble inscription tablet , the letters of which have been weathered to the point of illegibility. In the pedestal of the cross a clover-leaf-shaped medallion , in which a chalice with a host is enclosed as a traditional symbol of Christian faith .
