The nymph grotto in the Louvre in Paris

Nikostratos ( Greek  Νικόστρατος ) was a Greek Koroplast who lived in the first half of the 2nd and the beginning of the 1st century BC. Was active in Myrina in Asia Minor.

In contrast to most of the coroplastics found in Myrina, the works of Nikostratos are characterized by the fact that they are finely crafted and depict moving figures that are often shown in a group. His signature can be found on five different types of statuettes: girl with mother, dancer, nymph grotto, girl with educator and actor.
