Nina Roth (* 21st July 1988 in McFarland , Wisconsin as Nina Spatola ) is an American curler . She currently plays as Skip .

Career

Roth began her international career as a skip for the American team at the 2006 Junior World Championship , but only finished last there. At the Junior World Championships in 2008 she came in eighth place.

For adults, Roth played from 2009 as third in Erika Brown's team . After winning the US championship in 2010, the team took part in the 2010 World Cup and was able to achieve fifth place. In 2014 she switched to Becca Hamilton's team to play as Skip . At the national championship she won the gold medal in 2014 and the silver medal in 2016 and 2017. At the 2017 World Cup , she came in fifth.

Roth won the American Olympic Team Trials in November 2017 and took part with her team (third: Tabitha Peterson , second: Aileen Geving , lead: Becca Hamilton) for the USA in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . Together with her teammates, she finished eighth after four wins and five defeats in the Round Robin .

Private life

Roth is married and works as a nurse.
