Tabitha S. Peterson (born March 6, 1989 in Burnsville , Minnesota ) is an American curler . She currently plays third in Skip Nina Roth's team .

Peterson first played internationally at the 2009 Junior World Championships as third in Alexandra Carlson's team and finished fifth. The following year she was able to win the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships again with Alexandra Carlson as Skip . In the game for third place, the Americans defeated Manuela Siegrist's Swiss team .

From 2010 Peterson played in Allison Pottinger's team in the position of lead . In 2012, she defeated Cassandra Johnson's team in the finals of the US championships and therefore took part in the world championship for the first time in the same year . The Americans finished fifth after losing a tie-break against the Canadians led by Heather Nedohin . At the 2014 World Cup , she came in sixth place. In 2016 she was a substitute for Erika Brown's team at the World Cup and finished sixth. At her fourth World Cup in 2017 , she played third in Nina Roth's team; the team finished fifth.

In 2016 she played with Joseph Polo at the Curling Mixed Doubles World Championship and won the bronze medal; in the third place match, the two defeated the Scottish team with Bruce Mouat and Gina Aitken .

Peterson won the American Olympic Team Trials in November 2017 with Skip Nina Roth's  team  and took part in the 2018 Winter Olympics  in  Pyeongchang for the USA together with Roth, Aileen Geving ( Second ) and Becca Hamilton ( Lead )  . Together with her teammates, she finished eighth after four wins and five defeats in the Round Robin .

Private life

Peterson studied Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota and works at CVS . Her younger sister Tara also plays curling and won the bronze medal together with Tabitha at the 2010 Junior World Championships .
