The Ningxia University ( Chinese 寧夏大學 / 宁夏大学 , pinyin Ningxia Daxue ; . English Ningxia University ) is a university in Yinchuan , capital of the Autonomous Region Ningxia the Hui Nationality in the People's Republic of China on the upper reaches of the Yellow River .
It was founded in 1958 and is the result of cooperation between the government of the Ningxia Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The institution is one of the main universities of China's funding initiative Project 211 .
