Ningyuan

Ningyuan ( Chinese 宁远县 , Pinyin Nīngyuǎn Xiàn ) is a district that belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture -level city of Yongzhou in the south of the Chinese province of Hunan . It has an area of 2,508 km² and has 740,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the Shunling舜陵街道street district .

The Confucian Temple of Ningyuan (Ningyuan wenmiao 宁远文庙) and the site of the Shun Temple (Shun di miao yizhi 舜帝庙遗址) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China .
