The niche cross on the district of the Palatinate town of Deidesheim is located northeast of the town on the road 527 between Niederkirchen bei Deidesheim and Friedelsheim . According to the State of Rhineland-Palatinate's Monument Protection Act, it is a cultural monument .

The floor cross is about 2.30 meters high and made of red sandstone. It is not possible to say exactly when the cross was made; it was probably made around 1500 from a Gothic tombstone from the 13th century. The original lettering on the grave slab can still be seen at the ends of the beams. There, where the crossbars and lengthways of the cross intersect, there is a small niche, the upper edges of which are pointed.

The cross was erected again in 1970 and the widened lower end of the cross was supported with a small wall. The Deidesheim historian Berthold Schnabel described the stone cross as "probably unique".
