The Nizhny Novgorod S-Bahn ( Russian: Нижегородская городская электричка Nizhegorodskaja gorodskaja elektritschka ) is a S-Bahn -like transport network in Nizhny Novgorod . Together with the metro , it forms urban high-speed rail traffic. It consists of two lines: Sormovskaya and Priokskaya and was founded on June 24, 2013 by the Gorkier Railway to complement the Metro.

S-Bahn at Moscow train station

The Sormovskaya line has seven stations and connects the Sormovsky district with the main train station . That makes it an alternative to the metro in Sormowo. This is a terminus of the Moskovskaya metro station. You can use your boarding pass for 90 minutes for a free transfer.

The Priokskaja line consists of 12 through stations and five transfer stations, the main train station Nizhny Novgorod the stations Nizhny Novgorod-Sortirowotschny, Petrjajewka, Okskaja and Prospekt Gagarina. It partially crosses the suburb and connects the districts of Kanawinski, Leninsky, Avtosawodski and Priokski. There are different tariff zones due to the fact that some stations are outside the city.

In addition to the two main lines, there are two other directions that are not included in the municipal electric train system: Potschinki – Varya and Doskino – Kustowaja. The fares are the same in that case. There are also terminal stations for the urban electric train. Kustovaya is located near the Komsomolskaya Metro Station and is an indirect transfer point between them.

Fares

For the Sormovskaya line , the fare is 28 rubles . This also applies to all public transport in the city.

For the Priokskaya line , the fare is 28 rubles from the Nizhny-Novgorod main train station to the Petryayevka train station and from the Petryayevka train station to the Prospekt Gagarina train station.
