Niue Airlines , in self-presentation and Niue Airlines was the only airline of Niue and presented as such an important link to the outside world. It was founded in 1990 and was largely owned by New Zealanders .

Destinations and fleet

Niue Airlines connected Auckland Airport , in the meantime via Tonga , with Hanan International Airport on Niue until 1992. At the end of 1992, there were only flights to and from Pago Pago .

A Boeing 737 rented from Air Nauru was used between 1990 and 1992 . The flights to and from Pago Pago were carried out with a 9-seat Beechcraft King Air .

Trivia

The crew's uniforms were designed by the Dutch- New Zealand fashion designer Doris de Pont .
