Geraszell is a village and part of the municipality of Wiesenfelden in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

geography

The village is located on a plateau in the Falkensteiner Vorwald on the state road 2648 , three kilometers northeast of Wiesenfelden and two kilometers south of Zinzenzell at an altitude of about 663  m above sea level. NHN .

history

In the 18th century, the place with 17 properties belonged to different lords, the Mitterfels care court ( Obmannschaft Zinzenzell), the Hofmark Schönstein , the lordship Oberbrennberg , the Hofmark Wiesenfelden and the Hofmark Haidenburg . In 1821 Geraszell was a patrimonial parish in the tax district of Zinzenzell and the parish of Wiesenfelden and had 16 families. The former rural community of Geraszell with an area of ​​about 491  hectares had no other places. In 1926 the community lost its independence and was incorporated into Heilbrunn . When Heilbrunn was incorporated into Wiesenfelden on January 1, 1971, Geraszell became a part of the municipality of Wiesenfelden.
