Nobel ( Ukrainian Нобель (озеро) ) is a lake in Rajon Zarichne of Rivne Oblast in northwestern Ukraine . The lake is traversed by the Pripyat River and is about 5 km from the border with Belarus .
geography
The lake has a maximum length of 3.2 km and a maximum width of 2.5 km. The water area is approx. 5 km². The water depth is up to 10 m with a visibility depth of approx. 2 m. A peninsula jutting into the lake from the north divides the lake into two roughly equal halves. The village of Nobel of the same name is located on the peninsula . There are also four uninhabited islands. Other places on the lake shore are Didiwka and Kotyra .
