Nobuo Kawaguchi ( Japanese 川口 信 男 , Kawaguchi Nobuo ; born April 10, 1975 in Niigata Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Kawaguchi learned to play football on the school team at Niigata Technical High School and the university team at Juntendo University . He signed his first contract in 1998 with the Júbilo Iwata . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . In 1998 he won the J.League Cup with the club . With the club he became Japanese champions in 1999 and 2002 . In 2003 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . For the club he completed 139 first division games. In 2006 he moved to league rivals FC Tokyo . For the club, he completed 45 first division games. At the end of 2008 he ended his career as a football player.
