Noel Levi

Noel Levi (* 6. February 1942 in Nonopai , New Ireland , New Guinea , today: Papua New Guinea ) is a politician and Papua New Guinea, among others, from 1980 to 1982 Minister of Foreign Affairs, and from 1998 to 2004 Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum ( Pacific Islands Forum ) was.

Life

Levi was appointed foreign minister by Prime Minister Julius Chan in 1980 and held this post until the end of Chan's term in 1982. In 1988 he became ambassador to the People's Republic of China and remained in this post until 1990. He then served as High Commissioner between 1991 and 1995 in personal union in the United Kingdom and in Zimbabwe and as such was additionally accredited as ambassador to Israel and Egypt .
