Noemi Ristau (born September 23, 1991 in Großostheim ) is a German ski racer . She competes in the discipline of slalom , giant slalom , downhill, combined and super-G in the starting class visual impairment - B2 .

Sports

Due to Stargardt's disease , Ristau has 2% eyesight. She is a member of BG Marburg and SSG Blista Marburg eV She does her training in the Hesselbach ski area, among other places . From 2015 to 2018, Noemi Ristau was accompanied by the guides Luise Gerkau and Lucien Gerkau. In the 2018/19 season, Noemi Ristau tested various guides in order to be prepared for the next Paralympic cycle.

Noemi Ristau won her first European Cup with Luise Holland in the ski hall in 2016. At her premiere at the World Championships in Tarvisio (Italy) in January 2017, she and her guide Lucien Gerkau came third in the slalom and thus received a place in the German national team. At the 2017 World Championships, she also achieved fifth place in the giant slalom. At the World Cup in Canada in February 2018, she won her first World Cup with her guide Lucien Gerkau in the Super-G.

Her first Paralympics were the 2018 Winter Paralympics . She took part in this with her guide Lucien Gerkau (see list of participants from Germany ) and landed twice in 4th place (AF, RS), twice in 5th place (SC, SL) and once in 7th place (SG).

Life

She works as an occupational therapist and lives in Marburg .
