NoHo
NoHo is a neighborhood in the Manhattan borough of New York . NoHo is short for No rth of Ho Uston Street, making it the opposite of SoHo (South of Houston Street). NoHo is roughly bounded by Houston Street to the south, Bowery to the east, Astor Place to the north and Broadway (Manhattan) to the west. The name NoHo was invented by real estate agents in the 1980s. However, it is disputed whether this small area should be viewed as an independent district.
