Nokeng tsa Taemane

Nokeng tsa Taemane was a community in what was then Metsweding District , Gauteng Province in South Africa . In 2001 there were 53,197 inhabitants on a total area of ​​1968 km². The seat of the local government was Rayton . Nokeng tsa Taemane has been part of the Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality since 2011 . Anna Digoro was the last mayor.

The municipality name is a Sepedi or Sesotho term for rivers full of diamonds and refers to the multitude of rivers in the municipality and the diamond deposits on the Caledon .
