The Nolte Kitchens GmbH & Co. KG is a kitchen furniture manufacturer headquartered in the East Westphalian town of wages ; the parent company for this operates as Nolte moebel-industrie Holding GmbH & Co. KGaA and is based in Germersheim in the Palatinate . With a turnover of 285 million euros, the company describes itself as "the second largest kitchen brand in Germany".

history

From 1923, the company's founder Georg Nolte had polishing discs manufactured in Rheda, Westphalia . In the 1930s, the company then began manufacturing furniture. After taking over a small furniture factory in Delbrück (1932), a second factory was founded in Brilon in 1937 . Georg Nolte's son Konrad took over the helm of the company in Rheda in 1945. In 1947, the nolte group was systematically expanded. Konrad Nolte was the first furniture manufacturer to introduce assembly line production. In 1958 he founded Nolte Küchen. The company initially had around 60 employees. Today the company in Löhne has around 1100 employees.

Nolte has production facilities in Löhne and Melle . The logistics center is also located in Melle.

Nolte Küchen is a sponsor of the “Kitchens for Germany's Schools” initiative. The aim of the project is to anchor the topic of "healthy eating and cooking" in an exciting and entertaining way in everyday school life for children and young people.

Nolte's kitchen girl is the name of the horse with which rider Marcus Ehning has competed in international competitions since 2005. The mare was born in 1997 at the breeder Eva-Maria Schmid in Utting as Lord-Z-daughter under the name Lord's Classic. In 2004 she came to the Ehning stable, and in2005 she won the Grand Prix of Hamburg and Warsteinwith Johannes Ehning . The horse has not been active in equestrian sports since 2014.
