Nolte Möbel is a German manufacturer of wardrobe and bedroom ranges based in Germersheim in Rhineland-Palatinate . The company is part of the Nolte Group. Nolte Möbel was founded in 1955 and is now one of the most important suppliers of bedroom and cabinet systems in Europe.

history

From 1923 company founder Georg Nolte manufactured polishing discs and cleaning wool in Rheda, Westphalia . It wasn't until the 1930s that the company started manufacturing furniture. After taking over a small furniture factory in Delbrück (1932), a second factory was founded in Brilon in 1937 . Georg Nolte's son Konrad took over the helm of the company in Rheda in 1945. In 1947 the Nolte group was expanded in a targeted manner. Konrad Nolte was the first furniture manufacturer to introduce assembly line production . In 1955 he founded the furniture company Nolte Möbel in Germersheim and started producing bedrooms in 1958. In 1978, the portfolio was expanded to include sliding door wardrobes, and in 1979 to include modular wardrobe programs. The inauguration of the new 3300 square meter exhibition and training center took place in 2002.

Today Nolte Möbel employs around 500 people at the Germersheim location and achieves annual sales of around 110 million euros.

Nolte furniture is exclusively made "made in Germany". As a member of the German Furniture Quality Association, the company was awarded the Golden M quality mark. In addition, the entire product range bears the Blue Angel , which is an environmental quality mark for low-emission production. Since 2010, Nolte-Möbel has been using wood from sustainably managed forests in its production and is certified with the FSC and PEFC seal of approval. In 2012 the conversion to green electricity takes place .
