Johannes Ehning (born October 9, 1982 in Südlohn , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German show jumper and the younger brother of Marcus Ehning .

Career

Ehning began to ride at the age of ten and five years later he became Westphalian champion.

In 1999 he became European junior champion with Panama , with the team he won silver. In 2000 he won individual bronze and team silver. In 2001 he won team silver, meanwhile starting with the young riders, and in 2003 was European team champion.

Johannes Ehning was mainly responsible for training the young horses in his parents' stable and trained the mares Nolte's Küchengirl and Sabrina, as well as the stallion Vulkano , who were later ridden by his brother in international sport. Ehning is a trained wholesale and foreign trade merchant . In November 2014 he set out on an equestrian center in Stadtlohn independently .

Johannes Ehning was a member of the German B2 squad of German show jumpers in 2013.
