Nora Glickman

Nora Glickman (* 23. July 1944 in Bernasconi as Nora Rosembuj ) is Professor of Comparative Literature and Latin American literature at Queens College in New York City .

Glickman's grandparents were Russians who emigrated to Argentina and lived there as farmers. Her parents were both born in Bernasconi. In 1960, Nora Glickman left Argentina and studied in England, Israel and the United States. In 1964 she married the native Scotsman Henry Simon Glickman and a year later the couple emigrated to the USA. Your Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at New York University in 1978.

Glickman published over a hundred articles. Her main focus is on the image of the Jews in Latin American literature. She also works as a translator and writes short stories and plays.
