Norbert Molitor (born February 25, 1946 in Wuppertal ) is a German blogger , author and draftsman from Neviges .

Act

In addition to his work as a trade fair and exhibition designer, Molitor has been artistically concerned with the subject of “chairs and other seating” since 1990, initially with drawings on paper and since 2010 on digital input devices. His works were u. a. shown in solo exhibitions in Wuppertal (Lüntenbeck Castle), Velbert (Hardenberg Castle) and Berlin (Kabinett 25).

Molitor's blog 42553 Neviges, about life in a small town, received the Grimme Online Award in 2014. The blog is updated daily (often several times). Simple black and white photos with short captions are published from the Velbert district and pilgrimage town of Neviges with around 19,000 inhabitants. The project, which before 2014 only received regional attention, has now been visited over 1.8 million times as a result of national press reports (as of March 2019). The topics that apply beyond Neviges (vacancy, desolation, emigration, political omissions, pilgrimage, architecture) also make the site interesting for outsiders. Around 50 percent of users do not live in or around Neviges.

His book In the dump of good hope. A declaration of love to the province was published in 2016 by Piper Verlag , Munich.
