The Manitoba Highway 100 ( MB 101 ) is part of a ring road around the capital of Manitoba Winnipeg . The ring road is known as the Perimeter Highway, the section is part of the National Highway System and is there as a core route. The section is about 49 km long, about 8 km longer than the southern bypass, Manitoba Highway 100 .

Several highways extend from the North Perimeter, with which the north of the province is developed. This includes the recreational areas of the city of Winnipeg on Lake Winnipeg .
