Norbert Stretz

Norbert Stretz (born November 20, 1947 in Pirmasens ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from 1991–2011 .

Education, work and family

After obtaining the technical college entrance qualification in 1962, Stretz went to the judicial service of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, in which he worked until 1991, most recently as a higher court bailiff at the Pirmasens district court . In the meantime, he did his military service from 1966 to 1968 . After returning to his job, Stretz was chairman of the staff council from 1969 to 1988 . Since 2005 he has been the managing director of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Pirmasens.

Stretz is married and has three children.

1973 Stretz joined the SPD. In 1993 he was elected chairman of the SPD Pirmasens. Since 1994 he has been a member of the Pirmasens city ​​council and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. From 1991 to 2011 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament.
