Norbert Weisshaupt
Norbert Weißhaupt (born March 29, 1931 ) is a former German soccer player. From 1950 to 1952 he played for BSG Mechanik / Motor Gera in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .
Athletic career
As one of the youngest in the squad of the company sports association (BSG) Mechanik Gera for the 1950/51 league season, Norbert Weißhaupt came to his first four league games. He was used in games 4, 10, 33 and 34 of the Geraer, where he was called up in three matches in midfield and in the last game in defense. Also in the 1951/52 season, Weißhaupt was part of the senior division squad of Geraer BSG, which had since been renamed BSG Motor. With a few interruptions, Weißhaupt played as a midfielder in the first half of 14 of the 18 league games. He was also used in the first three games of the second half of the season, but was injured in the third game. After that, Norbert Weißhaupt no longer appeared in higher-class football.
