The Nord 1200 Norécrin is an aircraft produced by the French manufacturer Nord Aviation .
history
The Nord 1200 is based on the Nord 1100 , which in turn originated from the Messerschmitt Bf 108 produced in France . It was designed for a two- to three-seater cabin low-wing aircraft based on a tender by the French government. The first flight of the prototype took place on December 15, 1945. The first production version was called Nord 1201 Norécrin, had three seats and was powered by a 104 kW Renault engine. The following series versions 1204 Norécrin II, III and IV were four-seated and equipped with different engines. An armed military version with a 127 kW engine was produced as the 1203 Norécrin V. From 1955 the Norécrin VI and later the Nord 1204 were produced with American Continental engines. A total of 470 machines were made, making the machine one of the most successful French aircraft.
