Nordic walking badge

The Nordic Walking Badge is an award from the popular sporting offer of the German Athletics Association , which is awarded by the responsible state athletics associations for performance in Nordic Walking .

The Nordic walking badge is awarded in three stages for uninterrupted Nordic walking over a period of 30, 60 or 120 minutes. The service provided is confirmed by an authorized person with a certified identity card, after which the badge can be obtained from the same as a needle or fabric badge.

Acceptance authorization

Acceptable are:

• Nordic walking meeting leader
• Exercise leader and trainer
• Sports badge examiner
• Teachers of all types of schools teaching physical education

Award guidelines

• Level 1: 30 minutes without a break, any pace
• Level 2: 60 minutes without a break, any pace
• Level 3: 120 minutes without a break, any pace

Recognition for the German Sports Badge (DSA)

Since 2013 the fulfillment of the conditions for the Nordic walking badge of level 3 has been recognized for the DSA .

By presenting the ID for the Nordic Walking Badge Level 3, the examination in the endurance group of the DSA at the level gold is considered to be fulfilled in the year of issue.
