Nordine Ben Allal (* 1979 ) is a Belgian felons Moroccan descent.

Events

Benallal was sentenced to five years in prison in 1998 for robbery. He escaped custody for the first time in June 2000, but was arrested again after a brief chase in Brussels . In October 2000, he escaped from a prisoner transport while being transferred after faking a foot injury for days. He was caught again after about three weeks.

In January 2001, he escaped from prison again. This time he had swapped clothes and places with his brother during a visit to the detention center and marched unhindered out of the building. He was arrested again three weeks later. In February 2001, he was convicted of three more robberies.

In February 2004, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison for a number of other proven crimes, followed by another conviction in June 2004. In August 2004, he cut two fences, climbed the prison wall with a rope, and escaped from Nivelles prison . During the two-week escape, he shot two police officers in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and was sentenced to twelve years in prison for attempted murder after his arrest.

On October 28, 2007, he was the first prisoner to escape from Ittre prison with the help of an accomplice . His accomplice had hijacked a helicopter and its pilot and tried to land in the prison yard. As several prisoners jumped on the aircraft, the helicopter crashed due to overload. Several people were injured. However, Benallal and his armed accomplice subsequently took two guards hostage, forcing their release. They escaped in a stolen vehicle, but were arrested within a day of a robbery in The Hague , the Netherlands , and convicted of robbery in April 2008. In 2010 Benallal was delivered to Belgium.

In 2016, Nordin Benallal was released from prison under electronic surveillance. In July 2018, Benallal was arrested again on suspicion of involvement in a hostage-taking.
