The Nordkamp is a village in the municipality Boerger in Emsland in Lower Saxony . It is located west of Börger in the Emsland .

history

The settlement of the Nordkamp begins around 1800. The first settlers settled here because there were fighters who were used to keep livestock and to bite the plague. That is why this place was given the name Nordkamp or the front part that borders the Esch the name "Plippenbarg". The pests obtained by tapping were used to fertilize the soil. At that time it was the time of keeping sheep. There were up to 30 sheep dens in two rows on the northern edge of the Esch. In the area around Nordkamp there were several such sheep villages in earlier times. From 1800, mainly people from the neighboring Börger settled on Nordkamp.
