The North Cape Horn ( Norwegian : Hornet , North Sami : Čoarvi ) is a striking rock formation in the shape of a horn on the eastern flank of the North Cape Plateau in the municipality of Nordkapp in the Norwegian province of Troms og Finnmark . The Vestfjord stretches to the east of the Horn and the small Hornvika bay to the south .

The top of the horn is 146 meters above sea level. Compared to the immediate vicinity of the North Cape Rock there is a difference in altitude of around 40 to 50 meters. The rock has a religious meaning in the Sami tradition.
