The North Cape Museum ( Norwegian : Nordkappmuseet ) is a museum in the Norwegian city of Honningsvåg in the municipality Nordkapp .

It is located in the center of the city in the port area at the address Holmen 1 . The quay for cruise ships and the bus stop are in the immediate vicinity.

The museum is dedicated to culture, fishing and whaling in Finnmark . In addition, the history of tourism to the North Cape is covered. It also functions as a local museum for the municipality of Nordkapp. Various special exhibitions are shown in the museum several times a year.

The museum opened in 1982. It was built by the North Cape History and Museum Association . The chairman of the board at the time of the opening was Dagfinn Krog , the curator and museum director was Kjersti Skavhaug . In 1997 it was taken over by the Nordkapp municipality. It is part of the Finnmark Region's Coastal Culture and Reconstruction Museums .
