The Norges Døveforbund (NDF, analogously to the German  Norwegian Deaf Association ) is the umbrella organization for deaf associations in Norway . The seat of the association is Oslo . The Norwegian Association of the Deaf was founded in Trondheim in 1918 . The club's chairman is Hanne Berge Kvitvær.

The association has 2300 members and 7 employees.

The association is a member of the World Association of the Deaf ( WFD ) and has been a member of the European Union of the Deaf since 1995 . The official language of the federal government is the Norsk tegnspråk .
