Norma Heyman

Norma Heyman (* 1940 in Cheshire , England ) is a British film producer.

She made her debut as a film producer in 1983 with the film The Honorary Consul , a literary adaptation based on a work by Graham Greene . Her second film, Empire State - The Night of Decision , followed four years . In 1988 she produced the film Buster , the screen debut of the singer Phil Collins . In the same year, the film drama dangerous love affairs was made . For this film, Heyman was nominated for an Oscar in 1989 together with Hank Moonjean . She also produced the film Burning Secret with Klaus Maria Brandauer in the lead role, which was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize for this.

Norma Heyman was also an active producer in the 1990s. Films such as … and the sky stands still (1993), The Secret Agent (1996) and also in 1996 the horror film Mary Reilly were made with her collaboration . In 2000 she produced the Paul McGuigan- directed film Gangster No. 1 . In 2004 she won the Special Jury Prize at the British Independent Film Awards, and the following year she received the 25th Silver Anniversary Award at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards . In the same year, Lady Henderson presented her last film to date as a producer. It wasn't until 2013 that she reappeared with The Thirteenth Tale .
