In sociology, normality denotes what is taken for granted in a society , which no longer needs to be explained and no longer needs to be decided. This self-evident concerns social norms and concrete behavior of people. It is conveyed through education and socialization .

In psychology , normality describes a desirable, acceptable, healthy, behavior worthy of support in contrast to undesirable, disordered, deviant behavior that requires treatment.
