Norman Hammond

Norman Hammond (* 1944 ) is a British pre-Columbian archaeologist .

Hammond studied archeology and received his doctorate from Cambridge University in 1972 , where he taught from 1967 to 1975 Cambridge University, from 1975 to 1977 taught at Bradford University and from 1977 to 1988 at Rutgers University . From 1988 until his retirement he was professor of archeology at Boston University .

In 2018 Hammond was elected to the Academia Europaea .
