Norman Pfeiffer

Norman Pfeiffer (* 1940 in Seattle , Washington, USA) is an American architect who, as the co-owner of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer, became known for numerous theaters and cultural centers in the USA.

Life

Pfeiffer completed his architecture studies at the University of Washington in 1964. A year later he received a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York.

From 1965 he worked with Hugh Hardy and Malcolm Holzman , with whom he founded the Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer office in 1967 . Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer soon became the leading architecture firm for new buildings and conversions of theaters and concert halls in the USA.

In 2004 the three partners separated. Pfeiffer founded Pfeiffer Partners Architects with parts of the workforce.

Honors

Norman Pfeiffer is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer received the AIA's Architecture Firm Award in 1981 , the highest distinction for architecture firms in the United States.
