Norman Warwick

Norman Warwick (born July 14, 1920 in London , United Kingdom , † August 26, 1994 in Surrey ) was a British cameraman .

Warwick left school at the age of 14 and went to British International Pictures in Elstree, where he was hired as a second camera assistant . In 1943 the Londoner moved up to become a simple cameraman (so-called camera operator ). Norman Warwick also led the Second Unit camera teams several times in lavish A-productions such as Moby Dick , Yangtze Incident , Eiskalt in Alexandria , My Friend, the Diamond Joe, The Catcher , Crossbow , Charlie Dusts Millions and The Forgotten Valley . His television work was mainly limited to two series of the season 1958/59 ( Sea Hawk and Flying Doctor ). In 1984 Warwick created the special optical effects for the Orwell remake in 1984 .
