North American Arms

North American Arms , NAA for short , is an American arms manufacturer headquartered in Provo , Utah . Its product range includes pocket pistols and revolvers.

history

North American Arms is the successor to the Rocky Mountain Arms, founded in 1971 and only existed for a few years . North American Arms was taken over in the 1980s by Talley Manufacturing , an aerospace company, which was bought by Teleflex Inc. shortly after the takeover .

Sandy Chisholm, previously employed by Teleflex in Philadelphia, acquired the company in the late 1980s. To this day (as of 2010) he is Managing Director of North American Arms.

The design is based on drafts by Dick Casull and other new developments. All revolvers are single-action and made of rust-proof steel. The drum can only be loaded and unloaded with the drum removed. This is done by removing the drum axle. This then acts as an ejector for the fired cases.

There are various designs available in terms of calibers, barrel lengths and sights. A muzzle loader version is also available.

Pocket pistols

The double-action-only pistols are also made of rust-resistant steel. At the moment (as of 2010) only the Guardian model is available in several calibers. The barrel length is 2.49 "with a magazine capacity of 6 + 1.
