North American Islamic Trust
North American Islamic Trust ( NAIT ) is a Saudi- supported Islamic charity ( Waqf ) in the United States . It was founded in 1971 and is based in Plainfield , Indiana , USA . Many of the Muslim institutions founded by immigrants who came to the United States in the 1960s have their roots in the Muslim Students Association ( MSA ), where they were college activists. Like many other North American Islamic institutions, it is said to have been founded by American supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood . She is a member of the umbrella organization of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). As a waqf, the NAIT owns property rights in Islamic centers and schools in more than forty US states .

The Islamic Book Service (IBS) is operated by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT).
