The North Shore News is a newspaper based in British Columbia , Canada . This is a local newspaper that is distributed in North Vancouver and West Vancouver . It belongs to LMP Newspapers and is owned by Glacier Community Media . It maintains both print and online offers and appears on Wednesdays and Fridays. The newspaper was headed by Vicki Magnison in 2018. Mainly the newspaper offers news from the local area, content on the sections British Columbia, Canada and international events are delivered.

history

The name of the newspaper North Shore is derived from the mountain range of the same name, the North Shore Mountains . These are located on the north shore of the Burrard Inlet fjord . on the banks of which there are also North and West Vancouver.

The newspaper was founded in 1969. In its own image, it sees itself as a link between North and West Vancouver. From 1980 the newspaper received its first national and international awards, the number of which has totaled around 200 to this day. These include the Canadian Community Newspaper Association's "Newspaper of the Year" award in 2007, 2008 and 2011 and the "Gold" award at the Community Newspaper Awards .

The rival newspaper The North Shore Outlook , originally owned by Black Press , was set in the year, 2014.
