The Windhoek Maschinenfabrik (WMF) is a Namibian company in the state 26 Holding August and in the field of defense industry , the agricultural engineering and tool-making business. WMF was founded in 1939 and nationalized in 1998. It is headquartered in the capital Windhoek and has five other locations in Mariental , Grootfontein , Rundu , Katima Mulilo and Ongwediva .
WMF sells and repairs New Holland brand tractors . In addition, the main business develops and builds military vehicles, including the Wer'wolf MkII , which is also sold abroad, and numerous other vehicles, including the Wer'wolf MkIII since 2015 .
