Northwick Park Underground Station
Northwick Park is an above-ground London Underground station in the borough of Brent . It is located in Travel Zone 4 between Northwick Avenue and the Chiltern Main Line . The station served by the Metropolitan Line was used by 3.95 million passengers in 2013. It is located directly on the Harrow Campus of the University of Westminster . Kenton station on the Bakerloo Line is around three hundred meters north .
The route of the Metropolitan Railway (predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line) existed since 1880, but the station was only built later because the density of the buildings was still very low until the beginning of the 1920s. The opening took place on June 28, 1923. At the beginning, the station was called Northwick Park and Kenton , on March 15, 1937 it was given its current name.
