Nový Čas (literally Neue Zeit , itself stylized as "Nezávislý denník Nový Čas" - German independent newspaper Neue Zeit ) is a Slovak tabloid from the media company Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia a. s and the best-selling and most widely read daily newspaper in Slovakia . It appears daily from Monday to Saturday; on Saturdays a supplement called Nový Čas víkend is added. A separate edition called Nový Čas Nedeľa has been published on Sundays since 2006.
The usually published 40 or more pages in tabloid format contain articles with many colors, large photos, headings and easy writing.
The newspaper was founded shortly after the outbreak of the Velvet Revolution in 1990 and was initially a copy of the Austrian Kronen Zeitung .
