Nova Award
The Nova Award was a British literary prize that was awarded from 1973 to 2015 for outstanding publications in the field of science fiction - fanzines . The award was presented at the Novacon held annually in Birmingham , the UK's oldest regional science fiction convention . The award was initially made by a jury, later by qualified participants from Novacon.
Originally, an annual prize was awarded for the best fanzine and its publisher, from 1981 onwards, prizes were awarded in two additional categories for the best author ( best fan writer ) and the best artist ( best fan artist ).
