Nova Centurio (The Kitamura Chronicles) was an end -of-the- time booklet series with comics in the Manga style published by Miracle-Images . The series was heavily advertised on the Internet well before it went on sale. It was the first and so far only attempt to combine comics and magazine novels.

action

In the year 2028 the third world war is over and six powerful beings conquer the earth. These each occupy a continent. Only Australia is spared and so the resistance is organized there.

Japan was occupied by the mighty Hiroshima , who hovers over Tokyo with his flying fortress of heaven, Eden, and rules from there.

One of the two main storylines takes place there - the one about Kitamura. The series begins with the training of Kitamura, a boy with supernatural power when he was 15.

In the first novel, the year 2028 is panned, in which Kitamura is already 18. By chance he ends up in catacombs below Tokyo, where he finds millions of skulls - and the cyborg dog Timer, who often accompanies him from then on. Kitamura devises a plan to attack Eden. He wants to penetrate into Eden in order to bring death and destruction into it.

The second main storyline is that of General Winterthorne, who gathers the remaining armed forces of the earth in Australia and wants to lead an attack against the mighty from there by throwing the accumulated forces of the earth against them. In addition, there are others, e.g. Some very short storylines.

structure

The booklets begin as a novel. In the middle they contain a black and white manga. This continues the novel. After the end of the manga, another part of the novel follows, which follows without a break.

The sentence of the romance part is sometimes cumbersome, as there was no hyphenation in some lines.

Release dates

The series ran from January 19, 2005 to February 18, 2005. March 16, 2005 was the scheduled release date of volume three. Ken Watamoto's series was initially published in two regular issues. In March 2005 it was announced on the website that the second edition would be offered longer to give more people the opportunity to get into the series early. The third edition, postponed by a month, was no longer published.
