Bernhard Boine

Bernhard Boine (born September 27, 1912 in Dortmund ; † July 5, 1978 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1950 to 1958 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary school , Boine completed a commercial apprenticeship. He then worked until 1937 as the diocesan secretary of the Catholic Association of Young Men . During the time of National Socialism , Boine was temporarily taken into so-called “ protective custody ”, sentenced to heavy fines and he lost his job several times. He took part in World War II as a soldier and ended the war in captivity. In 1945 Boine became head of the social department of the Dortmund-Hoerder Hüttenverein. In 1951 he became Labor Director of the stainless steel works in Krefeld.

Boine had been a member of the Center Party from 1930 to 1933 . In 1945 he joined the CDU and became state spokesman for the Junge Union Westfalen . He was also a member of the German Federation of Trade Unions (DGB). From 1946 to 1951 Boine was a city councilor in Dortmund. He was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate in constituency 89 (Coesfeld) in the second and third electoral periods; he was a member of parliament from July 5, 1950 to July 12, 1958.
