NOVA (also Nova FM ) is a Danish nationwide radio station operated by Bauer Media Danmark , a Danish subsidiary of the Bauer Media Group .
According to a survey by TNS Gallup, Nova FM is the third most popular radio program in Denmark with 1.36 million listeners per week (calendar week 47/2015). The same analysis found a market share of 8.8 percent nationwide.
Until 2015, the operating company SBS Discovery Radio belonged to the ProSiebenSat.1 Media Group. The first broadcast was on September 8, 2008 over the airwaves. Nova FM is the successor to TV2 Radio , which was discontinued in 2008 for economic reasons.

Nova FM mainly broadcasts music. The rotation includes both new and older titles by well-known pop and rock artists. In addition to music programs, there are also occasional entertainment programs with a higher proportion of speech and information programs. The short messages have been produced by Berlingske Nyhedsbureau ( Berlingske Media ) since November 2014 .

Nova FM broadcasts across Denmark via VHF and DAB, but initially struggled with the shortcoming that in some parts of the country the station only had low-powered VHF frequencies available. Frequency swap led v. a. in East Jutland and in the Copenhagen area to a significant improvement in reception.
