Nuala Ahern

Nuala Ahern (* 5. February 1949 as Nuala MacDowell in Belfast , Northern Ireland ) is an Irish politician and former member of the European Parliament .

Ahern's political career began in 1991 when she was elected to Wicklow County Council , which she was a member of until 1994. In 1994 she was elected to the European Parliament for the Green Party and was a member of the European Parliament for the next 10 years. She belonged to the group The Greens / European Free Alliance .
