Nudnik # 2 , alternate title Here's Nudnik, is a 1965 American animated short film directed by Gene Deitch .

action

Nudnik, who lives alone in the only dilapidated house in a metropolis, is unlucky: He sleeps in a bed that has been folded up into an armchair. When he tries to turn off his ringing alarm clock, it breaks down into all its individual parts. After getting up, his tie is stuck in the armchair, which unfolds due to the effort made to pull it towards the bed, but promptly snaps into an armchair when Nudnik lies down on the bed. The rest of the day is also followed by bad luck. Nudnik wants to bake a cake, but the flour falls out of the bag when he lifts it. The tap won't turn off, so the kitchen will slowly fill up. Excessive addition of yeast causes the cake dough to swell to unprecedented sizes and Nudnik hides the dough in various drawers, among other things. He wants to mix some of the dough in a blender, but he accidentally shreds all of his savings that had fallen into the blender. When he finally eats the finished cake, it has taken on the color of banknotes - while Nudnik also finds change in his mouth while chewing.

While baking, Nudnik kept pouring excess water out of the window, which had collected on the canopy of the house exit. When Nudnik now wants to turn off the main water supply, the canopy gives way and all the water pours over him. Nudnik leaves with resignation.
